The GSHP Learning Resource hub brings together a range of free, evidence-informed tools to support healthcare professionals in providing grief-sensitive care. 

From on-demand learning and trainings to videos and printable guides, these resources are designed to build understanding, strengthen communication, and support personal wellness in high-exposure environments. 

Online Learning Library

The GSHP online learning library provides healthcare professionals with zero-cost foundational education on core concepts of grief, grief-sensitive communication with patients, supporters, and colleagues, and personal wellness in high-exposure environments. 

These resources are designed to strengthen understanding, build practical communication skills, and support reflection, helping healthcare professionals navigate loss with greater confidence, clarity, and sustainability in their work.

Seminars and Workshops

The GSHP offers free seminars and workshops that support healthcare professionals in building knowledge, communication skills, and confidence to respond to grief and loss in informed, compassionate, and clinically relevant ways. 

The GSHP is based at the Yale Child Study Center and currently offers in-person learning experiences in and around New Haven, CT, Portland, OR, and Palo Alto, CA. Virtual trainings are available nationwide, and in-person requests in other locations may be considered when travel costs are covered. Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes and are led by members of the GSHP team and training consultants, including experienced clinicians, educators, and researchers affiliated with the Yale Child Study Center and collaborating institutions.

These videos support reflection, learning, and connection to the realities of patients, supporters, and care teams.
