Lindsey Whissel Fenton, MEd, CT (she/her) is an Emmy award-winning filmmaker, international speaker, and grief educator. As Associate Director of Learning and Content Strategy for the Grief-Sensitive Healthcare Project, Lindsey’s work brings together learning design, multimedia content, communications, outreach, and strategic growth to expand grief literacy in healthcare education. Prior to joining Yale, Lindsey spent nearly two decades in public media at PBS/NPR affiliate WPSU, where she most recently served as a senior producer/director and instructional designer, leading projects focused on grief, trauma, and mental health, including Speaking Grief and Learning Grief. Lindsey earned her bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Digital Arts from Point Park University and her master’s degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from Penn State. She is Certified in Thanatology through the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC) and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG).
